Terms & Conditions for the Topps Match Attax 2023/24 Season VIP Winning Card Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw”)
1. Introduction
a) The Prize Draw is organised and run by Topps Europe Ltd (“Topps”), company number 02673753 who can be contacted at 18 Vincent Avenue, Crownhill Business Centre, Milton Keynes, MK8 0AW.
b) By entering this Prize Draw you agree to these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) and any decisions reached by Topps, which are final and binding in all matters related to this Prize Draw.
c) The Prize Draw starts at 00:00 BST on 1 November 2023 and ends at 23:59 BST on 29 February 2024 (the “Prize Draw Period”).
2. Who can enter this Prize Draw?
a) Participants must be residents of the United Kingdom and must provide a valid contact method to enable notification if they are a winner.
b) The Prize Draw is not open to directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of Topps, any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Topps, or any supplier of goods or services in connection with the Prize Draw, or their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
c) By entering the Prize Draw you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. Topps reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants and disqualify a participant for submitting false information.
3. How does the Prize Draw work?
a) To enter the Prize Draw, during the Prize Draw Period participants must:
i. Purchase one (or more) pack(s) of the Topps Match Attax 2023/24 Season cards (the “Cards”) from any Participating Retail Store (defined below); and
ii. Open the pack(s) of Cards and see if there is a ‘MVP Autograph Edition Card’ inside, (together an “Entry”).
b) If you find a ‘MVP Winning Card’ in your Cards during the Prize Draw Period, you are a winner - congratulations! You will need to follow the instructions enclosed in the winning packs of Cards to claim your Prize.
c) The Prize must be claimed by 29 February 2024. Unclaimed prizes, including MVP Winning Cards found after this date, will lapse after this date. If a winner has any questions about how to claim their prize, they should contact [email protected] without delay.
d) The "Participating Retail Stores” are: all WHSmith High Street stores in the UK. Railway, Airport, Hospital and Motorway Service Area Travel stores are not included in the promotion. For more information, please contact [email protected].
e) For the avoidance of doubt, any Cards purchased online are not part of this Prize Draw.
f) There shall be a total of five (5) ‘MVP Winning Cards’, and Cards containing the winning ‘MVP Winning Cards’ will be distributed throughout the UK in such Participating Retail Stores as selected by a randomizer application.
g) All Entries must be made during the Prize Draw Period, or they will be void. Topps will not accept responsibility for:
i. Prize Draw Entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
ii. any change in dates, times or cancellations or other arrangements that may prevent a winner from accepting, taking or using a Prize.
h) The winners may be required to provide Topps with proof of identification and proof of purchase in order to verify compliance with the eligibility requirements for the Prize Draw.
i) If a winner is found to be ineligible or fails to comply with the Terms, then the winner may, in the sole discretion of Topps, be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected by alternate means.
4. What is the Prize?
a) There will be 5 winners.
b) Each winner will win the opportunity to attend an in-person meet and greet with a famous UCL player to take place between March and May 2024 (such date and location to be confirmed by Topps at its sole discretion) where:
i. Your MVP Winning Card will be signed for you in person by the UCL player; and
ii. You can meet with the UCL player and have one picture together
(a “Prize”).
c) All MVP Winning Cards are sequentially numbered between 1 and 5. Card numbers will be allocated to winners in accordance with the QR code activation sequence.
d) The Prizes are subject to availability.
e) Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and have a cash value of zero. Prizes are for personal use only and are not for resale. Prizes may be forfeited in the event that Topps determines that the Prize is being misused. Topps reserves the right to substitute a Prize of an equal or greater value in its absolute discretion.
f) The Prize shall include the cost of transportation to and from the in-person meet and greet, up to a maximum of £200 per winner. The Prize shall also include light refreshments at the meet and greet. The Prize does not include any other costs in relation to the Prize (including, for the avoidance of doubt, any overnight accommodation). Any expense outside of those specified will be the sole responsibility of the winners.
g) If a winner of the Prize is aged below 18 years old, an adult must accompany them to the in-person meet and greet, otherwise the winner’s entry will be denied.
h) If a winner of the Prize is unable to attend on the date of the in-person meet and greet, the winner will instead be sent an ‘MVP Winning Card’ signed by the famous UCL player. This shall be shipped to the relevant winner’s UK address indicated by the winner, at Topps’s cost.
i) The winners of the Prize are aware that pictures may be taken or that film may be shot of them during the in-person meet and greet. They give permission to the Promoter to use the pictures and film for publicity purposes, including but not limited to posts on social media, for a period of two years from the date of the meet and greet. If a winner does not consent to participate in any/all publicity or promotional activities, they should notify Topps without delay in writing at [email protected]
j) Entry to the in-person meet and greet shall be at the sole discretion of the third-party venue. It is the responsibility of the winners to ensure that they comply with the rules of the third-party venue at all times. Topps shall not be responsible for any decision by the third-party venue to deny entry to the winners.
5. General
a) Topps reserves the right to amend the rules of the Prize Draw, to withdraw the Prize Draw at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable, or to cancel the Prize in the event of non-compliance with these Terms.
b) Topps will only use your email address and other personal information in compliance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 (including any amended, equivalent or subsequent legislation) and will use, store or otherwise process any personal information that relates to and identifies you, including but not limited to your name, age, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number and any other information collected on entry to this Prize Draw, to the extent reasonably necessary to run this Competition, to contact entrants if necessary to notify the Winner, or to check eligibility requirements have been met, and will not be shared with other companies except to the extent necessary to provide the prize in accordance with the privacy policy available on its website (https://uk.topps.com/privacy-policy). Topps will only process your personal information for the purposes described in these Terms and will not give your personal information to any third parties save as permitted in paragraph 5(c) below.
c) Your information may, for the purposes set out in these Terms, be disclosed for processing to:
i. Topps’ employees, affiliates, group companies and their employees and successors in title to their businesses:
ii. third Party consultants, contractors or other service providers who may access your personal information when providing services (including but not limited to IT support services) to Topps:
iii. government bodies and law enforcement agencies and in response to other legal and regulatory requests; and
iv. auditors or contractors or other advisers auditing, assisting with or advising on any of our business purposes, in any jurisdiction where we operate.
d) By submitting any personal information to us you consent to the use of the information as set out in these Terms.
e) The winners’ surnames and counties will be made available upon request. The winners will have the right to object to this information being published or to request a reduction in the amount of information being published by contacting [email protected]
f) The decision of Topps regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
g) Any cancellation or changes will be posted on the relevant Prize Draw page at https://uk.topps.com/vipcardwinner016356
h) With the exception of liability which cannot be excluded by law, Topps is not liable for, and you release Topps from, liabilities relating to any direct or indirect loss or damage which is suffered, as a result of entering the Prize Draw, failing to win, winning, accepting or using a Prize.

j) The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Terms shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Terms shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
k) These Terms shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
